From BBN Editors: Beginning January 8, 2007 (less than three months), The Departments of State and Homeland Security will require ALL – including children -travelers to present a passport when entering and exiting the United States. No longer will a birth certificate be accepted documentation. This is especially important for travelers who typically use a birth certificate as documentation to travel to the Caribbean, Mexico and Canada. The new regulations extend to land border and sea travel. The passport process is time consuming. As the holiday season approaches, it’s advised that travelers begin the passport process as soon as possible.
