NPR's "News and Notes" conducted an interview with the mother of 14 year-old Shaquanda Cotton, the Texas teen who has been in jail for a year. She was convicted of assaulting a school aide. The interview also includes the District Attorney, Gary Young, who prosecuted the case. The interview is a good back story and current status of the story. (view source for audio)
