Hearing David McCotte's remarks was a refreshing, uplifting counter to the endless stories on how Obama cannot win white, blue collar males' votes. Mr. McCotte expresses views held by many black Americans. . .many Americans, period. We all want the same thing: prosperity for our country, hope for our children, fairness in the judicial system. If only there was more coverage of our similarities, our shared goals, instead of our categories--by race, income, status!
